About

“I’m not a doctor, a firefighter or an astronaut. I don’t sing or act, and I’m not a dancer or an athlete. I am not rich or famous, and I haven’t traveled the world or tried to save it (yet). But I live my life each day with purpose, conviction and kindness, and always try to inspire others to do the same. And that -to me- is living an extraordinary life.” ~Sonia

Hi. I’m Sonia, a sassy, dream-filled Cuban-American girl from Hialeah, FL. Welcome to my blog, Word Share Junkie! Here I will share the progress of my book in the works, My Funny, Sad Life, plus other musings of inspiration and motivation as they come.

I am just a girl with a lot to say, more passion and emotion that I can handle most days, and a burning desire to help motivate others through words. For the last few years, I’ve been on a journey towards HAPPY and living positively, and I want to share what I’ve learned with you.

I aspire to be a voice for those who might not be as in tune with their emotions, or know exactly how to make lemonade out of life’s sometimes bitterly bitter lemons. Because let’s face it, this Hialeah girl has worked her way through a lot in this crazy thing we call life – from poverty and emotional abuse to depression, heartbreak, obesity, change and rejection – all through a positive attitude, a commitment to the good fight, and a whole heck of a lot of hard work.

And yes, don’t think its not completely frightening to think of putting yourself out there like this, but I once heard, “discomfort is a part of any authentic journey,” and I wholeheartedly intend to be authentic. It is the only way to tell a story with any real value to you. I am no doctor, and certainly not an expert, but I soundly and firmly believe my experiences, positivism and willingness to share can and will make their own small, but meaningful difference in this world, and most importantly in you, the reader.

Here it goes. Enjoy, ask questions, and please do SHARE!
